Whatever has happened to the price of oil worldwide? Daily we read that the price is ever climbing and now is at USD136/- per barrel. People all over the world are suffering especially those countries which do not possess oil and are dependent on imports. The price of transportation goesup, price of food goes up and everything goes up. Just imagine the plight of the lower income people, those who earn less than $1000 per month or even those who earn less than $2000 per month. With a few children to feed how to cope with the increase in cost of living which keeps going up. If the price of oil touches $200 per barrel I think some oil deneddent won’t even be able to import oil.

So what is the solution. What causes this oil price to increase drastically? Is it due to price speculation or demand exceeding supply? If the culprit is price spoeculation then a stop must be put to it. What about developing an alternative to fossil fuel. Why not hydrogen as a fuel or natural gas. Hydrogen is plentiful and must be seriously considerd thoroughly.

So how must we as world citizens cope. We must cut down on unneccessary spending. Cut out all luxuries, eat less maybe by even less 1 meal a day. Plant and grow your own vegetables, rear your own poultry.If you live near lakes or rivers or the sea go and fish and bring home for dinner. This will help to cut down on meat expenses. In the worst case scenario sell your expensive and pertrol guzzling cars and resort to motorbikes and even bicycles. In Vietnam almost everone commutes by motorbikes. So drastically cut down on expenses and luxuries.

For thos who only have one job the time is now to consider getting another income source. You can work another full time Job(if you have the energy) or another part-time job.
